Biography and career
Katrina kaif was born in Hong Kong in 1984, 16th, July, her father Kashmir who was living in Hong Kong and later acquired British citizenship and her mother was also a British citizen.
While living in Hawaii at the age of fourteen Katrina was discovered as an actress and she participated in jewelry campaign.
In India she also participated in advertisement of LG, Lakme, Samsung and veet and other adverts. She was also a model in India; she managed to be hot celebrity India.
Film Career
Katrina was cast in the 2003 release boom in India which made her discovered at the box office. She did not act much in vernacular languages in India because she was not fluent in India languages. She participated in many movies like in 2004 she participated as “Malliswari” in Teluga movie and in 2005 she participated in another Teluga film as “Allari Pidugu”.
Katrina also participated in Hindi movies like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Sarkar after participating in these movies she become famous in Bollywood as the best actress and the movies that she participated did well in box office.
In 2007 Katrina had five film releases and one of the biggest hits of the year was a movie called Namaste London and she was also the best in Nanhe jaisalmer movie. Katrina performed in two blockbusters Singh is King and Race in 2008 and at the same time she received the British- Indian actor award for 2008 Zee Cine Awards. In this year 2009 she has planned several roles that she will perform.
