Katrina Kaif reveals how foriegn upbringing helped her in India!

Unlike many other Bollywood actresses,Katrina Kaif had to work harder to make it to the top in the industry. Many feel that Katrina's foreign upbringing is a hurdle between the actress and the hindi film industry, due to the language and adaptability factors. But, Kats thinks the other way.

Talking to a leading daily, Katrina said that foreign upbrining have helped her a lot in life. It's not a problem, rather it made her "extremely adaptable" in India.

Kaif is from British origin and she had travelled to several countries during her childhood. Due to this, it is said that Katrina had to struggle a lot in Bollywood to learn hindi and to adapt into the Indian culture. But, as it is said that hard work pays one day. So did happen with Kaif after she made it to the league of top 5 actresses in Bollywood.

As 2012 winds down, mobile companies come out with the ultimate data of the year. Bollywood stars, Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan top the list and become the most downloaded celebrities of the year, reports Hindustan Times on Dec.6.

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa shared the data on their Facebook and Twitterpages. The data collected reveals the preferences of over 186 million mobile customers in India.

N Rajaram, Chief Marketing Officer, Consumer Business of Bharti Airtel said, "Over the last four years, Airtel Mobitude has captured the behavior of the mobile consumers to provide real insights on customer preference for sports and entertainment.

The data, based on the usage pattern of the country’s largest mobile customer base, reveals an exciting picture of India’s love for movies, music, gaming and social networking. The study also brings to light India’s increasing dependence on smart devices and data usage as they access a whole host of new services on the go.”

The “Chikni Chameli” star, Katrina Kaif topped the chart for the fourth consecutive year, followed by contemporaries Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka and Vidya Balan.

Shahrukh Khan led in the category of Bollywood actors' wallpaper downloads, with Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor in the top five. Aamir Khan did not make it in the top cut for the third year in a row.

Kim Kardashian led in the category of images downloaded and also featured in the top five Hollywood celebrities.

Katrina's images most wanted on mobile phones

Katrina Kaif is this year's reigning queen as far as downloads on mobile phones of images of an actress are concerned. It is the fourth consecutive year that the "Chikni chameli" star has topped the category.

Katrina is followed by Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan for the actress with most images downloaded on mobile, according to the findings of Airtel Mobitude 2012.

Among men, Shah Rukh Khan led in the category of Bollywood actors' wallpaper downloads. Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor featured in the top five.

The 28-year-old star rather feels that this aspect of her life has made her personality 'extremely adaptable' to varied shades of cultures. 'I have been to 8-9 countries during first 12 years of life. This has made me extremely adaptable,' said Katrina, who was here last evening to launch the website Gitanjalishop.com of jewellery brand Gitanjali.

'It is difficult to answer who is the best... But yes, the common thing among them is talent and stardom,' said Katrina. Dubbing the 'top place' as a 'different altitude', Katrina said she was never under pressure to be on the top.

'Frankly, I don't feel very much to be on top slot. Besides doing professional work, I prefer to be in company of my friends, most of whom are not actors,' she said, She added that there was no relevance of the concept of male dominance in the film industry and all what is needed is good and professional work.

Katrina revealed her plans of shooting for her new film in Delhi in coming February, besides adding that a lot of effort is being put in to make 'Dhoom 3' a big success.

Salman Khan’s Shera shakes a leg for ‘Bodyguard’ item song

First Salman Khan’s former girlfriend, actress Katrina Kaif, was roped in for the “Bodyguard” item number and now his security aide Shera has shot for the much-talked about song.
Shera will not only feature in “Bodyguard Item Song”, but he will also be seen dancing and grooving with Salman.
“Yes, I have shot for the song with Salman bhai and all this seems like a magic. Salman bhai is such a huge star and for someone like him showing such trust in me is nothing short of a miracle,” Shera, who has been with Salman for more than 15 years, said in a statement.
“In front of the whole world, he said that this is my most trusted man. Isn’t that great?
“This is the first time I will be in front of the camera with Salman bhai doing this item song. He just showed me some dance steps and I did a lot of rehearsal before the final take. It was scary and I was nervous. I will never forget this experience,” he added.
Recently Salman had also made Shera unveil the first look of “Bodyguard”.
The film, directed by Siddique and produced by Atul Agnihotri, is a remake of the director’s 2010 Malayalam film, “Bodyguard”. It is scheduled for an Aug 31 release.

‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ earns Rs. 108 crore after 10 days

“Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”, a story of the adventurous road trip in Spain of three friends, is spinning magic at the box office – grossing Rs.108 crore in 10 days.
Released by Eros International, the film starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin and Katrina Kaif has earned Rs.86 crore at the domestic box office (net collection Rs.60 crore) and Rs.22 crore overseas.
The film released on over 1,800 screens.
“We are ecstatic with the audience as well as critics’ reactions to ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. The superb run of the film so far, especially across multiplexes, has superseded all expectations and we are expecting the film to continue its excellent performance in the coming week as well,” Nandu Ahuja, senior vice president (Distribution), India, Eros International Media Ltd, said in a statement.

If Katrina Kaif has wooed her audience with ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ then she is going to blow her audience with another sensational song number, ‘Dhunki’. The beautiful lass will don a rock star image in ‘Dhunki’ from ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. Yash Raj has done a complete image makeover of the actress.
She looks marvelous with funky outfit, loose hair, tattoos on back, unique accessories. She looks tomboyish with electric guitar in hand. In the film, she is playing a Delhi university student who holds a concert at the fort without a legal permission.
As the news spread tat Kat is shooting in Agra, around 1000 plus crowd gathered at the fort within a minute.
Said the sources, "As soon as fans heard that Katrina was shooting for Dhunki at Agra Fort, a crowd of 1000 plus gathered within a few minutes! All the crowd and mob shots shown in the song are authentic - the only way Katrina could safely leave the venue at the end of the shoot was when a team of police was called to escort her out and take her away in a police van."

No big birthday for Katrina kaif

Actress Katrina Kaif,who will celebrate her 27th birthday on July 16, has denied media reports suggesting that she is going to have a big party this year after a gap of three years.
One may remember that in 2008, it was at Kat's birthday bash that the infamous fight between actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan took place. Talking about her plans, Kat, who was in the capital recently for a Gitanjali event, said, "I haven't planned anything yet. But there are no plans of throwing a big bash. My movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is releasing on July 15, and most likely, I will be busy promoting it.

K.One has just strolled into my life and almost immediately he's fixated on Katrina Kaif. The other day, when he was cruising down Andheri's Link Road, he was ecstatic when Katrina braked beside him. And guess what? The biker nayika was without any security and ready to mingle with the aam aadmi.
K.One is still going Kkkkkk..... Must send him to Ekta Kapoor, maybe he can give her an idea for a soap opera. Only this time her saas-bahus will have to be riding the two wheeler!

After toning down Hrithik-Katrina's sizzling chemistry for a song in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, director Zoya is acting prudish again. Buzz is that she is planning to cut the steamy kiss between the duo.

Apparently the kiss is three-minutes long and is an essential part of the script. Revealing the nature of the scene, Mid Day quotes an insider: "After a severe exchange of words, Hrithik's character Arjun leaves in a Buick. Katrina (Laila) chases him on her bike. Stopping his car, she forces him out and pinning him on the bonnet, kisses him. And it's a rather long scene, about three minutes long."

"That's why Zoya is finding it difficult to decide on how much of the kiss to retain and how much to leave out," the source says.

But Zoya is still in a dilemma, which emerged after seeing their chemistry in the Ek Junoon track.

Katrina Kaif has always had a long-standing desire of contributing in some way to a film’s post-production. Well, her wish has been fulfilled, thanks to Farhan Akhtar.

Katrina and Farhan became friends while filming for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. She was particularly impressed by Farhan’s multiple talents: he is an actor, he has already directed a few films, and he can sing. Katrina, too, wanted to try her hand at something other than acting; Farhan helped fulfil that wish.

While editing Shahrukh Khan’s next film Don 2, which Farhan has directed, Farhan let Katrina edit a small portion.

Katrina did well and edited the portion and was ‘thrilled’ after having done so.

After giving a successful item number, this time Katrina Kaif is all set to perform another item number in her upcoming movie ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.

For her upcoming item number Katrina says, "Yes, I am shooting a full-on tapori number. It's earthy and sensuous not suggestive. I'm supposed to be dancing at a roadside dhaba."

Aditya Chopra, the filmmaker, wants the song to be a big hit than Shiela which was a superb one from Tees Maar Khan. Although Katrina Kaif had started shooting of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ prior to Tees Maar Khan but due to her size zero the shooting of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ got stuck. The movie basically revolves around Imran Khan who falls in love with his brother’s fiancée who is Katrina Kaif. The movie is expected to hit the theatres somewhere in July this year.

The much awaited get together movie of Bollywood heart throbs Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will be the first ever Bollywood movie to be shot in Uraq.
Katrina and Salman’s movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will commence shooting in Iraq. Infact the Iraqi government gave permission to shoot a major action sequence of the film in their country. Not only this, they also made arrangements for the security and the crew of the movie.The director of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ flew to Iraq to tour various locations for the movie. Salman Khan is supposed to be super excited about this opportunity already and has agreed to shoot in Iraq.

Katrina Kaif will not do ‘Dhoom 3′

Reports have been doing the rounds that Katrina Kaif will be doing the Yash Raj Films sequel movie ‘Dhoom 3‘ along with Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in what will be its second sequel. But this report seems to be false as Yash Raj Films has denied Katrina doing the movie ‘Dhoom 3′ and have revealed that a new face is being sought after for the movie.
Despite the various denials from the Yash Raj Films that Katrina wont be doing the movie a tabloid recently reported that she would be doing the movie. Not only that they also went on to say that she apart from bagging the role she already had started training for the part to be fit for the movie. They did not even have a correspondent to check with Yash Raj Films.
Katrina Kaif will be busy shooting ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘ and wont be doing ‘Dhoom 3.’ Say insiders that a fresh face is on the lookout for the movie and so far nobody has been cast for the female role.

She's gullible and doesn't realise that he is protraying that they are more than friends. People on the set have noticed his change in attitude ever since he has gotten close to Kat. It happened on the sets of the reality show 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega'. Sources said that Katrina dropped in on the sets without prior notice. And on seeing Salman, she came forward and gave him a warm hug. She then greeted Farah Khan and Anu Malik, who were also shooting for the show. It is said that director Kabir Khan has clearly told Katrina that her character requires her to be completely make-up free. The director has apparently told the actress that she shouldn't even apply light make-up or skin-coloured lipsticks.
